. On Veterans Day weekend patriots converged on Austin, Texas for the FREE SPEECH CONFERENCE sponsored by AMERICAN FREE PRESS in conjunction with the Power of Prophecy Ministries of popular broadcaster Texe Marrs.
The conference convened with a reception on Nov. 8 where attendees greeted old friends and made new ones. And there were many familiar faces. Many had been to past conferences organized by AFP in Washington, indicating continuing enthusiasm for being able to share time with other like-minded folks under AFP’s auspices.
“These conferences give people the opportunity to meet the AFP staff, and to meet other AFP readers — a real feeling of ‘family,’” said AFP office manager Julia Foster, who organized the conference, working with Texe and Wanda Marrs’s great staff at Power of Prophecy: Michelle Powell, Joe Powell, Sandra Myers and Jerry Barrett.
Nov. 9 was a full day beginning with remarks by AFP consultant Willis Carto, followed by commentator Mark Dankof, focusing on Pearl Harbor as a primer for understanding subsequent U.S. intervention abroad. Next, Canadian free speech activist Paul Fromm described how the thought police seek to impose an iron curtain of censorship on the people of the West.
Texe Marrs discussed his new book DNA Science and the Jewish Bloodline — a well-received lecture from a dynamic speaker known for his prodigious contributions to free speech.
Paul Topete, leader of the band Poker Face, described his own longtime experience fighting the predatory Anti-Defamation League, a primary force working to extinguish freedom of expression worldwide.
Later, Bishop Richard Williamson, an international leader of the traditionalist Catholic movement, addressed the topic, “The Importance of Spirituality in Our Battle.”
The conference concluded with a banquet honoring America’s veterans featuring USS Liberty survivor Phil Tourney who gave a heart-rending account of what he and his shipmates experienced during the attack on the Liberty by the Israeli military on June 8, 1967.
AFP outreach director Pete Papaherakles — a talented artist — presented a touching portrait to Tourney depicting him on the deck of the Liberty. Marrs also presented Carto with a special award from Power of Prophecy featuring an illustration portraying Carto and Marrs as fighters in a modern-day Alamo, taking on the New World Order.
The conference was an unqualified success, setting the stage for future conferences AFP plans to convene soon in other locations.
