."Those darned Iranians are plotting
against us Americans again,” is probably what you’re hearing from your more naïve and less informed friends and neighbors who believe everything they hear in the controlled media.
It seems that every other day we hear some new scare story suggesting that Iran is just about ready to launch a full-force attack on the United States. A few weeks ago they were warning that the Iranian navy might be lurking off the American coast, threatening the sunbathing time of the good folks on the Jersey shore.
The powerful plutocrats who control the media have a variety of reasons why they want to get Americans up in arms against Iran, and that’s something most grassroots Americans don’t understand.
The truth is that our big media — that assembly of daily newspapers, television and radio and weekly newsmagazines controlled by a tightly knit clique of intermarried families and interlocking financial groups — has a big stake in the profits of what has been called the “military-industrial-banking complex.” That’s one chief reason why they absolutely love to see the United States engaged in foreign wars.
Another reason these well-heeled warmongers are interested in getting Americans marching off to war against Iran has to do with a deep-rooted religious and philosophical commitment on the part of the warmongers to the interests of the state of Israel. It’s not politically correct to mention that, but AFP doesn’t pull any punches, as you know.
Another reason these world destroyers enjoy stoking up wars of conquest is because it’s part of their long-standing agenda to set in place a global plantation that some call the New World Order.
And there is yet another motivation: War brings an increase in government spending and government power. As the late Lawrence Dennis rightly noted: War is one of the foremost forces promoting socialism.
So there are a lot of reasons why the shadowy people who control the media have an interest in getting Americans convinced that Iran deserves to be destroyed.
AFP’s Willis Carto put it best in an editorial in our Oct. 17 issue on page 11 when he said: “A war against Iran would gain the American people nothing except more debt and the biggest no-win war ever.” Bottom line: don’t let the media mislead you with its lies about Iran. And
they are lies.
